Dr. Leo Elgatian

Dr. Leo Elgatian grew up in Bettendorf Iowa with his six siblings. He realized early in life that he loved helping people. It was this love that eventually compelled him to obtain a Doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1989. After graduating Dr. Leo , his wife ,Annetta and their baby daughter Lauren moved to Waterloo, Iowa and then on to Ottumwa Iowa to work as an associate Doctor. It was during his time in Ottumwa that they welcomed their first son, Drew.

When it was time to start his own practice Dr. Leo chose Muscatine as the place he would like to raise his family and settle down. Muscatine Chiropractic opened its doors for the first time in April of 1992. The Elgatians were blessed with three more children after they moved to Muscatine, Alexis, Adrianna and Noah. Dr. Leo welcomed his son-in-law Dr. Josiah Street into the practice in 2015. Their precious granddaughter Nora joined the family in December of 2015.

It’s easy to see that family is a very important part of Dr. Leo’s life. He will treat your family with the same caring heart and attention to excellence. Dr. Leo focuses on finding the root cause of your problem, ‘ choosing to provide corrective care rather than only pain or symptom management.’ Dr. Leo uses PST, Gonstead, Thompson, Low Force and Diversified techniques along with physiotherapy modalities including spinal decompression/ traction therapy to address the individual needs of his patients.

Dr. Leo is currently working toward completion of 300 hours in acupuncture training. He is excited to offer his patients an additional modality of healing. He expects to offer acupuncture service starting in the fall of 2016.

Dr. Leo is quite the car enthusiast and he can often be found working on projects in his barn. He also enjoys woodworking, spending time in church ministry , attending his children’s concerts and laughing with his family.
